Not-scary Halloween pages

Plenty of children love Halloween and hate being frightened by it. Every page in this set is drawn with round shapes and friendly faces โ€” the ghost smiles, the spider smiles, the bat has big eyes. If you need something for a nursery or an anxious four-year-old, start with the Easy tier.

Everything is an outline

Black cats and bats are usually printed as solid silhouettes, which leaves a child nothing to colour. Ours are drawn as empty outlines instead, so the cat can be ginger and the bat can be purple. The same goes for the moon and the windows of the haunted house.

Pages that become decorations

The jack-o-lantern and ghost cut out and taped to a window look convincing from the street, especially coloured with felt tip on thin paper so the light comes through. The wreath-like mandala mounted on card makes a door hanger.

Printing

Print at 100% scale, not โ€œfit to pageโ€. Letter in the US and Canada, A4 elsewhere. Use cardstock if you plan to cut anything out.
