The handprint turkey
It is on this page as a printable so nobody has to draw round a wriggling hand. Colour each finger-feather a different shade and it looks exactly like the one that ends up on the fridge until March.
Colouring a turkey convincingly
Real turkey feathers run brown through copper to cream, not one flat colour. Work the darkest tone at the base of each feather and lighten towards the tip, and leave the outermost feathers palest — the fan reads as depth rather than a cut-out.
Printing
Print at 100% scale rather than “fit to page”, and match the file to your paper — Letter or A4. Cardstock if you are making placemats.
